The important key here it is to start IE without loading the home page. This will improve the startup time by more than 50%.
Here’s how you do it:
1. Right click your Internet Explorer shortcut and Click Properties.
2. Go to the Shortcut tab.
3. In the target row add the suffix -nohome, so for example it will read: “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” -nohome
4. Click Apply.
5. Restart IE.
IE will load much faster now. In case you would like to open your Home page just click on the Home button.
