I can’t write, I’m not a writer, and I will never succeed in writing. Period!

First of all, stop thinking all these negative thoughts. You’re only shooting yourself down and why would you waste your time doing that to yourself?
Look at the questions below and answer them for yourself truthfully.
Can you talk to a friend and tell them what you’re thinking?
Can you talk to people about your opinion on the newest movie? On a new album release? Or the latest gossip?
Can you type on the computer?
Can you write using a pen/pencil and a piece of paper?
Do you have opinions that you tell others about?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you can surely write! It’s now a matter of putting your thoughts and what you would say to a real life person into writing.
Right now, you might be thinking, “Easy for you to say that! But it’s easier said then done! And I still can’t write!”
It’s all right, I understand how you can feel like that.
“After getting the first hundred Pound, it is more easy to get the second.”
--Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin
Take the quote above, writing the first hundred words is probably going to be the hardest thing that you will EVER have to do. You’re going to sweat it, you’re going to groan, it’s going to be a HUGE pain.
But once you have written those first hundred words, the next hundred will become easier and easier to write. The more you write, the better your writing ability will become.
Practice makes perfect!
Just think about Michael Jordan, he didn't make each basket when he started out in his basketball carreer. He practiced, practiced, practiced, practiced, and practiced some more to become what he is today!
Same thing applies to you!!! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! And one day, you'll find that you're a lot more perfect than you were two months, six months, or a year ago.
Maybe you’re not the best speller in the world, or you don’t have the best command of the English language, or you never finished high school, or you’re still in high school. And that’s totally okay. You can still write! You will improve over time. And with reviews from friends that you know you can count on, you can only improve! :-)
“Everyone has a seed of greatness in themselves.”
--Doran
Don’t wait ten years to let that seed of greatness develop and grow. Don’t tell yourself, “I’ll start writing in a few years. I’ll start writing when my life gets better. I’ll wait until I have my degree in English to start writing.”
Write now!
Start with a few sentences at first and build it up to a few paragraphs and then a few pages a day. It will become easier over time.
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
