Guilt Free Snacking on Super Bowl Sunday

I know every nutritionist and diet expert over the past month has been telling us not to let parties take us off track from our diets. We should drink large glasses of water and eat a meal before attending a party so that we won't be tempted to eat the non-diet food we run across there. But I like to believe that Super Bowl Sunday is one of those days where the party food you eat doesn't have calories, or at the very least can be worked off while cheering on your favorite team. But if you're still feeling a little guilty about your upcoming Super Bowl snacks, I'll give you a healthy way to look at some favorites:

Nachos are a balanced meal as far as I'm concerned. You can have meat, vegetables and dairy all in one crunchy bite.

Popcorn snacks are made with popcorn and popcorn is just chock full of fiber. All of that fiber makes up for the other added ingredients.

Buffalo wings are made from chicken and everyone knows how healthy chicken is.

Guacamole is basically a vegetable dip. The fat in guacamole is a healthy fat, so the calories don't count on Super Bowl Sunday.

Layered dips usually have lettuce layered between the cheeses and the meats. The lettuce outweighs the fat and calories derived from the other ingredients.

Don't believe my rationale for these Super Bowl snacks? Then go ahead and enjoy your celery and carrot sticks - you'll find me by the guacamole.
