Customers as well as Apple store employees were excited for the debut of the 3G iPhone. Unfortunately, as early as its first day, there are already software glitches which frustrated all the anticipating customers. Probably, rivals have prayed so hard to the gods of jinx so that Apple since 6 in the morning.
Instead of being seeing happy faces, the British customers became angry mobs as they experience delay during 3G iPhone’s debut in United Kingdom. O2, the carrier of 3G iPhone in the area, already had some glitches regarding its computerized credit checking system.
During the height of the technical glitches, a spokesman from O2 said that they are confirming that the company is having technical issues when connecting to the Apple stores. But they are trying their best and working as fast as they could to fix the system.
One of the customers on queue said his rants on the Guardian website. This particular customer said that he was already in line since 7 in the morning. However, he only got his turn when the clock hit 11:30 A.M. What’s more frustrating is that it had taken the O2 more than 40 minutes to accommodate each customer and that the company only have the 16 GB model at hand. The ranting customer queued at the Manchester flagship store.
Other customers who really want the 3G iPhone waited for a couple of hours just to get their hands on the much-awaited device. Others, however, simply walked away and gave up because of the glitch that made them experience delays.
