Today, let's meet Kira Reed, a glamour model, actress, television hostess, journalist, and producer originally from Louisville, Kentucky but now living in Los Angeles, California. This self-described queen of the late night premium cable erotic movies knew from the time she was a young child that she wanted to be an entertainer. By age five she was performing in school plays and local dance recitals. At age 10, she was doing commercials and local catalog modeling. Kira then attended the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, where she learned all aspects of theatre, including acting, voice, dance, costuming, and lighting. She loved it so much that she decided to make it her career.

But it wasn't just theatre that she discovered in her tween years. She was also discovering her ***uality. Kira always wanted to be a ***y woman and as a child she would stuff her bra while playing dress up. She says she loved to strut her stuff before she even had any. At age 14, she blossomed into womanhood. At school, she drew much attention from the boys, and when she went to summer camp all the boys would stare at her when she was at the pool. So much commotion was made over her one piece black bathing suit that she wasn't allowed at the pool without a shirt on over it. This ***ual discovery would come in handy much later on.

After graduating high school, she attended UCLA where she majored in Theatre, Film, and Television. In order to pay for some her studies, however, she took up exotic dancing on the side. Though she loved the attention, the money and the power she had over men to get them excited, she said that she burned out quickly from dancing and stripping.

After graduating from UCLA with her degree in Theatre, Film, and Television, like most acting graduates, she went to Hollywood to pursue her dream of being in films and television. While she landed a few bit parts here and there, good roles were hard to come by. Her first big break came when she auditioned for a role in a Playboy TV movie called Maui Heat. She answered an ad in LA weekly which said "Models needed for two week shoot in Maui; Nudity required." She loved the idea of going to Maui for two weeks and getting to go to the Playboy mansion in Beverly Hills; plus having worked as an exotic dancer, nudity wasn't an issue. Long story short, she was cast as the make-up artist to the swimsuit models, did her first "love scene," and her career in "R" rated erotic movies was launched.

Her next movie was The Price Of Desire. She was cast in "Price" when the director saw her love scene in Maui Heat and said: "Who is that girl? I want her!" Over 40 other films followed, including Madame Savant, Alien Files, Forbidden Highway, The Mistress Club, and Losing Control.

In 1998, Kira was offered a role as reporter on the Playboy TV newsmagazine ***cetera. She reported on the happenings in the world of *** and ***** entertainment. She eventually would produce some segments of the program, and this would lead to her being an associate producer for other programs on the network. While she continued to do erotic movies during this time, she also branched out into mainstream roles, landing guest parts on the television series ER, NYPD Blue, and The War At Home.

Kira latest venture has been producing shows for Playboy TV. She currently is the producer of Naked Happy Girls and will be producing Playboy's new show, 69 ***y Things To Do Before You Die.
