Today, let's meet Fawnia Mondey, a fitness and glamour model originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, but now living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fawnia says that being in front of the camera has always been a passion of hers, and she loves to show off her body. She originally started out as an exotic dancer and nude model, and she competed in nude modeling pageants in her native Canada. In 1999, she would eventually produce her own instructional pole dance video, making her a pioneer of what is now America's latest fitness craze; pole dancing for fitness.
However, fitness was as much of a passion for her as showing off her assets, and she would soon take up bodybuilding and fitness training. In 1999, she entered her first bodybuilding competition in Canada, sponsored by Muscle and Fitness magazine, where she finished first. She then began entering fitness competitions, working her way up to top ten finishes in 2003, 2004, and in 2005 she won the British Columbia provincial fitness competition. She also worked as a bikini model during this time, competing in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic pageant. She also modeled for various fitness magazines, appearing in Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness, Oxygen, Muscle Marketing USA, Drive Health & Fitness, Flex, Ultimate Athlete, Ms. Fitness, Canadian Health & Fitness, MuscleMag International, Muscle & Fitness, Hardcore Muscle, Double XL, Body Of Science, Fit Body, and American Curves magazines. She was aslo signed by Playboy magazine as a Special Editions model, appearing in their Natural Beauties, Playmates Etc, Blondes, Brunettes & Redheads, and Lingerie editions.
Fawnia moved from Canada to Las Vegas two years ago to enter the USA fitness circuit and to pursue more opportunities in fitness and glamour modeling.
