Look for vegetation.
Bass like to hang around areas where they will feel safe and protected. Lily pads, areas of standing reeds and other clumps of vegetation will usually be the best places to find a largemouth bass. You can also look for bass around manmade structures, since they fulfill the same purpose to a bass as a natural clump of vegetation. Piers and docks are usually the best place to find a bass, especially on a quiet lake.
