Week-End Trends: Gearing up for 4th of July

Email activity and promotional trends during the past week:

The RetailEmail Index down 9% to 153 during the week ending June 22, and is down 10% from where it was four weeks ago.


*The RetailEmail Index is a general measure of the email volume generated by 100 of the top online retailers.

Last week, 83% of the retailers in the RetailEmail Index send out at least one email, down from 85% the week prior, and down from 88% during the 4-weeks-ago period.



4th of July: The retailers in the RetailEmail Index sent 8 emails referencing the 4th of July last week, up from 4 the week before.

Father’s Day (June 17): There was 1 email referencing Father’s Day last week, down from 57 the week prior.

Back to school: There were no references to back to school last week, down from 1 the week before.
