RetailEmail.Blogspot monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 of the top online retailers. Here are highlights from our inbox this morning:

Target, 1/16 — Spend $125, get 15% off in Furniture, plus free shipping on select pieces.
Looking to build on the success of their wedding and baby registries, Target has created TargetLists, which caters to any and all occasions, including housewarming parties, birthday parties, anniversaries and plain ol’ shopping lists. This is the second big initiative I’ve seen around wish lists recently. In late November, Old Navy ran a really interesting wish list sweepstakes, with some risky permission practices (see Nov. 20 AM Inbox).

Ann Taylor, 1/16 — Thank You for Giving to St. Jude
Many retailers ran charity projects during the holidays—indeed, many run charity projects all year long. However, Ann Taylor is one of the few to use their email list to publicize the results of their efforts. In addition to this email, in November Ann Taylor shares the results of their Ann Cares campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (see Nov. 16 AM Inbox). Orvis is the only other major online retailer that I can think of that has shared the results for the charity work via email (see Jan. 3 AM Inbox). This is a good brand-building opportunity that others should consider, especially during slow months like January.

SUBJECTIVITY SCANNER:
HPshopping, 1/16 — Resolve to Get Things Done with HP's Home Office Solutions
Sears, 1/16 — One Stop Shop: Fitness Equipment, MP3s, Apparel & MORE!
Newegg.com, 1/16 — Get Big for the Big Game with Huge Savings on HDTVs
Norm Thompson, 1/16 — Exclusive Spring Preview with limited-time reduced prices!
Spiegel, 1/16 — 5-Hour Lunchtime Sale: Save on Sweaters, from $11!
Brookstone, 1/16 — Bamboo towels-extra soft and bacteria-resistant!
Sharper Image, 1/16 — Advanced treatment for cold dry winter air.
