Orvis, 12/28 — Conservation success, thanks to you!
The end/beginning of the year is obviously a good time to look ahead, but it’s also a good time to look back on what you’ve accomplished over the past year. In this email, Orvis updates their readers on their conservation efforts and what was accomplished in 2007. It’s great branding and reminds subscribers that they don’t just shop at Orvis because of their products and prices.



Neiman Marcus, 12/29 — New Year's Resolutions: How to look great in a swimsuit + FREE SHIPPING
Neiman Marcus, which is by far the most prolific email sender that I track, loves to turn what would be a single email for other retailers into a series of emails. This New Year’s campaign is a good example, with Neiman using each email to highlight one of six Haute Resolutions.

12/31 — New Year's Resolutions: How to be flirty without flirting + FREE SHIPPING ends today!

Toys “R” Us, 12/31 — Clearance Blowout Continues! Save up to 50%
I was going to say that this is a great example of using email to keep subscribers up to date on store hours and routing them to the channels that will be available at particular times…



Toys “R” Us, 12/31 — Email Update: ToysRUs and BabiesRUs Stores Open New Year's Day!
…however, it turns out that that email was wrong and that Toys “R” Us’s stores were open on New Year’s afterall.
