RetailEmail.Blogspot monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 of the top online retailers. Here are highlights from our inbox this morning:

TigerDirect, 11/20 — Email Only HDTV Sale!
I love it when retailers make you feel like you’re part of a special club when you’re an email subscriber. TigerDirect does this with this email, which it tells subscribers no to forward to their friends, stressing that it’s “confidential” and a “private offer.” In addition to making it seem more exclusive, I wonder if there’s some reverse-psychology at work here. By telling subscribers not to forward the email, I wonder if that actually increases forwards.



CompUSA, 11/20 — FREE Shipping 11/21 & 11/22 PLUS 4 Days of Savings
In this email CompUSA gives you an easy-to-follow calendar, letting you know when certain sales will be in effect, whether that sale is online-only or in stores, and what hours their stores will be open on that particular day.



Sears, 11/20 — Online only: Shop Early for day-after Thanksgiving specials
Sears is the latest retailer to unleash Black Friday sales early—in this case Wednesday night. The extra twist here is that Sears mentions their ship-to-store program, saying that orders placed by 6pm on Thanksgiving Day can be picked up at 4am on Black Friday, giving customers the opportunity to save on shipping. And, heck, if you’re at Sears that early you might as well see what else you can grab a good deal on.
